Digi-VetTek CCD System

Breakthrough Veterinary Imaging

The Digital VetTek CCD system provides a breakthrough in veterinary digital radiographic solutions, wedding the traditional table x-ray with the digital future. CCD provides a new quality standard in efficient DR digital imaging, designed as an alternative to conventional film-based radiology while overcoming several imaging hurdles. Although CCD digital radiography technology is well established, this new technology leap-frogs its CCD predecessors providing hospital quality images, higher durability, upgradability and is virtually maintenance free.

The Digital VetTek CCD employs an all-digital technology that involves the conversion of x-rays solutions into four different wavelengths of light (compared to the industry standard of only one), which are then integrated through a series of industrial grade mirrors and a proprietary glass and Zeonex polymer lens array to create an extremely sharp image. For example, the resolution of the Digi-Vet CCD sensor, at 4.6 lp/mm (one key measure of image quality), exceeds the American College of Radiology recommended minimum by 84%.

In addition, the Digital VetTek CCD incorporates an industry-leading graphical user interface (GUI), developed in conjunction with Macadamian Technologies Inc., to ensure ease of use through a touch-screen monitor, right at the x-ray table.

The Digital VetTek CCD is available in two configurations:

  • As a retrofit for existing tables (enclosure 15" x 19" x 28" (38.1 x 48.3 x 71.1 cm))
  • As a fully equipped VetTek Gold Table with high frequency generator and anatomical programming

The Digi-VetTek CCD System includes:

  • One VetTek CCD camera with revolutionary 4-wavelength optical design, patented 3D lightpath and optical folding technology to protect the electronics from the x-rays. Sealed unit uses heat-sink technology that does not involve fans or liquids to maintain optimal temperature
  • All necessary cables
