Digi-Vet Veterinary Digital Imaging Systems
Veterinary Radiography Systems for Today's Practices
Digi-Vet Systems. Digital imaging offers faster, cleaner, more convenient and less expensive ways of producing radiographic images. Benefits of switching to digital imaging include:
- Maximized ROI
- No film or chemicals
- Save images on the computer, not in a storage cabinet
- Easier and less frequent retakes
- Enables a higher standard of care
- Multi-media consultation regarding patient
- Quick, instant images with a wide dynamic range compared to film
- Facilitates image distribution
- Software allows for image manipulation and enhancement, improving diagnostic image quality
AFP offers the complete range of digital radiography options for the veterinary practice, including:
- CR, or Computed Radiography, where a phosphor plate replaces a traditional film cassette and can then be placed into a reading device that scans and digitizes the image
- CCD, or Charged-Coupled Device Radiography, which utilizes a digital image detector that is energized by the x-ray beam and then read by a special high-resolution camera and displayed on a computer monitor in seconds
- DR, or Digital Radiography, where an electronic detector replaces the conventional cassette/intensifying screens. This detector captures and archives the image and then sends it directly to a monitor
AFP Imaging offers digital imaging solutions*:
*Not all systems available in all configurations.
- As part of an AFP Digital VetTek Table
- As retrofits to existing X-ray tables
- As mobile systems perfect for zoos, mixed animal practices and theme parks
